Our Story

Built by people who get it

Wonder Word was not built in a tech office somewhere. It was built in the trenches of ministry — by a pastor who has lived the Sunday morning scramble and a mother who knows what families actually need.

The Problem

We saw what was missing

For years, we watched children's ministry leaders juggle spreadsheets, sticky notes, group texts, and prayer. We saw dedicated volunteers burning out. We saw families slipping through the cracks. We saw pastors spending Saturday nights scrambling instead of resting.

There were tools for church management. Tools for giving. Tools for worship planning. But when it came to the unique, beautiful chaos of children's ministry? Nothing.

No single platform understood the full picture — lesson planning, volunteer scheduling, check-in, family care, and follow-up — all woven together the way real ministry works.

What we kept hearing:

"I spend more time on logistics than on kids."

"We have tools, but none of them talk to each other."

"I never know if we have enough volunteers until Sunday morning."

"A family left and I did not realize until months later."

"Saturday nights are stressful. I am always behind."

The Founders

A pastor. A mother. A shared vision.

The Pastor's Perspective

As a pastor, I have seen how every ministry in the church has tools designed for them — except children's ministry. Our kids ministry leaders were working twice as hard with half the support.

I watched children's ministry leaders stay late, come early, and carry the weight of details that no one else saw. Volunteer gaps. Lesson prep. Parent concerns. Family follow-up. It was all manual, all scattered, all exhausting.

Kids ministry is not a side program. It is where faith takes root. It deserves real tools built by people who understand the stakes.

The Mother's Perspective

As a mother, I know what it feels like to drop your kids off on Sunday morning and wonder: Will they be safe? Will anyone notice them? Will anyone remember their birthday? Will someone reach out if we miss a few weeks?

I also know what it feels like to volunteer. To show up and not know what room you are in. To teach a lesson you found at 11pm the night before. To feel like you are winging it every single week.

Families deserve better. Volunteers deserve better. And the kids — the whole reason we do this — deserve a ministry that runs with intention, not chaos.
